Wilson Lawn and Field Services is a family owned and ran business. The owner, Robert Wilson, was approached at the begin by leaders of the Olentangy Youth Associations baseball and softball programs requesting assistance with getting the fields playable and manageable. After seeing incredible results to the fields assigned to our care OYAA asked to have Wilson Lawn and Field Services take on more fields. From 4 fields the efforts quickly grew to more than 35 Baseball and Softball fields, including from high school fields down through elementary school fields. All while still working full time as a police officer serving the community. The word began to spread our company was getting great reviews about how capable and reasonably priced our services were compared to other competitors and that grading and drainage issues were something we were very good at handling. Soon we were tasked with installing new baseball fields, maintaining weekly drags on the fields, installing new grass, installing temporary fencing for tournament play, the list grew. Over the years youth Lacrosse leaders asked for assistance along with Soccer leaders. At a time when Olentangy Schools were growing faster than they could keep up we were asked to step in and help mow fields on a weekly basis during the Lacrosse and Soccer seasons. Over the years we saw our customer list grow all while expanding our services provided. Installing new parking areas, ponds, driveways, land clearing, and so much more. Word began to spread about our pond construction and pond renovation services which has found Wilson Lawn and Field Services to be a trusted source for pond work. In 2021 ,the tough decision to leave being a full time police officer, to take on the challenges of growing this Excavation and Landscaping business into a trusted company that Residential and Commercial customers could trust in knowing they would receive excellent work they expect at reasonable pricing they can afford.
